Set against the sun-drenched backdrop of a Mediterranean island, Two Weeks in August is an eight-part BBC drama series created by Catherine Shepherd. The series follows a group of old university friends who reunite for what is meant to be the perfect summer holiday, only for long-buried tensions, shifting relationships, and personal secrets to begin unravelling beneath the surface.
Starring Jessica Raine, Damien Molony, Nicholas Pinnock, Antonia Thomas, Leila Farzad, and Hugh Skinner, the series blends dark comedy and psychological drama against the landscapes of Malta and Gozo, where the production was filmed entirely on location.
Pellikola collaborated closely with the UK producers, Various Artists Limited, throughout the production of the series, with Oliver Mallia serving as Co-Producer. The production engaged a predominantly Maltese crew, with more than 80% of the crew hired locally.
