In May 2024, Malta served as a key filming location for Mo Season 2, doubling for Palestine and Mexico in the first and final episodes of the series. The Netflix and A24 production, created by and starring Mo Amer, follows a Palestinian refugee navigating life between two cultures while seeking legal status in the U.S.
Pellikola provided full production services for the Malta shoot. Local actors Kaylie Magri, Nathan Brimmer, and Anton Saliba were cast in the series. The production was supported by Screen Malta.
