The Window Completes Malta Shoot

Malta is the backdrop for two episodes of James Payne’s football drama-thriller The Window.

Developed by Payne along with Berlin-based Boogie Entertainment, the series is inspired by the English Premier League, exposing the dark maneuverings that take place off the pitch. In these episodes, an international tournament is taking place in Malta. The island gives The Window a global feel, and some of Malta’s most exquisite hotels and venues added a touch of glamour to the show.

Payne said of Malta: “From a production point of view Malta had the right combination of high-end glamour locations while also being attractive financially.” The Window is a German-Japan-Belgian co-production, produced by ZDF Entertainment and Fuji TV.
