Danish sales company LevelK has boarded international sales for Axel Petersén’s Shame On Dry Land which is currently in post-production.
The feature film, to be released in 2023, is a Sweden/Malta co-production. It is set against the world of online gamblers who fled Sweden for Malta. An exiled conman goes to a lavish wedding, seeking redemption but derailing on a wild goose chase of lies, deceit and murder.
The cast includes Joel Spira (Easy Money), Christopher Wagelin (Gentlemen & Gangsters) and Julia Sporre (The Square). Local actors featuring in the film include Erica Muscat, Angele Galea, Owen Scriha, Friday Cauchi, and Antony Da Silva.
Pellikola co-produced the film with Swedish producers Fedra and Sveriges Television, Film Stockholm and Strictly Post Production Stockholm. The film is supported by the Swedish Film Institute and the Malta Film Commission.
